Over the last couple years my family and I have planted a vegetable garden. We were brand new to gardening and simply got some advice from friends and then just went for it. The results have been pretty amazing. We have had incredible success growing everything from all kinds of herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon,
peas, peppers, strawberries- you name it. In fact we have had so much success that people are now coming to us for advice.
A few of them were even the people that we sought advice from in the beginning. They came to us because our garden was actually doing better than theirs.
This of course made me start to wonder- what is our secret? I believe the answer is simple. You see it everywhere. You reap what you sow, (literally in our case:) In talking to our friends and neighbors about their struggling gardens I found out that they weren't following all the advice and tips they had given to us. We simply applied the principles we were taught and then consistently maintained them.
Our garden was never overrun with weeds because we would head out there often and just pull a few that we saw just coming up. We were careful to fertilize at the right time. And when we had a problem with grasshoppers we took care of it before it got out of hand.
In order for us to succeed in anything we pursuit we must apply the time and attention necessary for that success. Everything needs a little fertilizer now then. A business needs fresh ideas. In the case of vending we sometimes need new locations, or perhaps try a new product, even customize some of our machines for a fresh look and more appeal.
We all run in to grasshoppers every once in awhile. Sometimes we have an unhappy consumer. Once in awhile we try a new product that just didn’t sell. Every now and then we all run into a snag or two. But by staying on top of our route, knowing the staff at our locations, being timely with our servicing and maintenance of machines will keep problems small and in most cases quickly and easily resolved.
At U-Turn Vending through our training and support staff each customer is given the knowledge and tools for success, but these principles must be applied in order to accomplish the things you are striving to achieve.
Don’t be afraid to go out there and plant a big crop of machines. Just make sure you give them what they need. Then you can really enjoy your harvest!
