How To Make More And Spend Less With Your New Business

Current economic conditions require entrepreneurs to be even more imaginative when it come to stretching the value of a dollar.  But the bottom line is starting a new business requires making an investment.  So how do we get the very most out of our money and still see the kind of progress we want for our new venture?  Below are three ways to get you headed in the right direction to making more and spending less in your new business.

1. Utilize Available Resources-

Networking is a great way to utilize resources around you.  Put your self in a room with business owners like yourself by joining local groups like, Toast Masters, Chamber of Commerce, or even a National Association relative to your business.  Often time you will meet other entrepreneurs that you can trade products or services with that allow you to get something for less without costing you more.  They may also share money saving strategies they have used or can refer you good deals on advertising, banking, or other services most businesses need.

Another resource is a Small Business Administration.  This is an organization funded by the U.S. Government to assist small business owners.  They not only provide financing for business but even offer free business consulting services at Small Business Development Centers throughout the country.  Take a look at the resources they offer at www.sba.gov

There is also great literature out there that provides a wealth of information on ways to cut costs and increase revenues.  One great book is Bootstrapping Your Business by Greg Glanforte and Marcus Gibson.

2. Get a Mentor

No matter what business you are starting there are those who have gone before you.  And more often than not they are easy to find and willing to offer advice.  Don’t slow down the progress of your business before it starts.  Take the road traveled- you’ll get there faster.

3. Determination

That’s right just old fashioned determination.  Many new business owners are faced with a lot of obstacles.  Henry Ford said, “Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.”

Don’t waste time avoiding challenges.  Meet them head or you may end up throwing a lot of money at them over time.  Embrace the opportunities you are faced with that will make you and your business grow.  The strongest trees in the forrest are not the ones sheltered by the storm but those who have been blown and battered by the wind.  Just as the strongest businesses are those that have been tried and tested and moved forward still.  Decide now to be a business owner who is determined  to successful.

At U-Turn vending we have worked hard to develop a comprehensive program that enables entrepreneurs utilize all three of these points.  We offer a business opportunity that has low start up costs and minimal time commitments.  We have created our own business development center that includes: in house training at our company headquarters, easy to use software to help you manage your vending business, on hand experts to answer all of your questions, and more.  Also all of our support-team members are vending route owners themselves- making them qualified mentors as well!
